German Legal Tech Hub GmbH

German Legaltech Hub GmbH, based in Hannover, operates the German Legal Tech Hub, a nationwide network and innovation platform for Legal Tech and Legal AI. The Hub sees itself as a one-stop platform connecting players in the legal market both online and offline, and launched at the start of 2023 as a nationwide innovation hub and digital community platform for Legal Tech. Managing Director is lawyer Jörg Offenhausen, Co-Director is Dr. Benedikt M. Quarch.

In terms of content, the German Legal Tech Hub brings together legal, technological and business expertise. Its offering includes curated events and online formats such as masterclasses, pitches and matching events, through which Legal Tech know-how is conveyed, as well as matchmaking between providers and users and further training opportunities. For start-ups, the GLTH Accelerator provides structured support focused on sales and fundraising; behind it stands a team including founders, venture capital professionals and lawyers. Member companies can also make use of additional services, ranging from assessments of their innovation processes to product and business model development.

The Hub addresses legal departments within companies, law firms – explicitly including small and medium-sized ones – start-ups, associations, academia, public administration as well as students and talents. One declared aim is to identify practical, technology-based solutions in the legal market and make them usable for practitioners, to recognise needs and to connect market players at an early stage. According to its founders, the network is open to everyone interested.

The German Legal Tech Hub is also the organiser of the German Legal Tech Summit in Hannover, which took place for the first time in 2023 and has been held jointly with Deutsche Messe AG at the exhibition grounds since 2024. Regionally, the company collaborates, among others, with the economic development agency hannoverimpuls to support Legal Tech start-ups in the Hannover region.
