The company has its origins in an organisation founded in 1908 by the lawyer Hans Soldan for the joint procurement of law firm supplies and has since developed into a full-range provider for equipping and organising law firms.

Under the “Digital Law Firm” division, Soldan brings together solutions for digitalising law firm work. These include document management, digital mail intake, managed print services, file digitisation and destruction, as well as offerings relating to the special electronic lawyer’s mailbox, such as beA-Direkt, beA-Sign, card exchange and card readers. In addition, there are compliance topics such as data protection officers, anti-money laundering prevention, a whistleblower system and electronic invoicing.

In the field of Legal Tech, the company brokers law firm software and AI applications from various providers, including solutions for case handling, anonymisation, deadline management, client onboarding and AI-supported research in legal sources. This is complemented by law firm IT such as digital dictation, speech recognition, telephone systems and project management, as well as secretarial services including telephone, typing and postal services.

The classic range includes specialist supplies such as forms, robes, seals, stamps, registry and notarial supplies, plus office supplies, office technology, furnishings and an in-house printing facility for printed matter, business cards, signs and deed envelopes. In the area of specialist media, Soldan offers legal literature, online databases and research services for numerous areas of law.

The Soldan Academy complements the offering with seminars and webinars, including on fee law, enforcement proceedings, deadlines, data protection, office organisation, notarial practice, as well as Legal Tech and the use of AI in law firms.
