Lean Business GmbH, based in Munich, supports law firms in digitalising their processes and managing their business on a data-driven basis. Since 2011, the company has combined practical consultancy with individually tailored software solutions. The focus is on the requirements of law firms and companies in the fiduciary sector: making information centrally available, simplifying administrative tasks and clearly depicting economic development.

The basis of the solution offering is Vertec as modularly adaptable ERP and CRM software. Complemented by document management with M-Files, integrated systems are created that connect the key processes of everyday law firm work. The range extends from the initial client contact through matter management and time recording to invoicing and reporting. Industry-specific templates facilitate implementation and are continuously developed further.

In matter management, Lean Business supports the structured management of files, contacts, documents and correspondence. Functions for deadline monitoring, conflict checking and mapping complex matter structures help to maintain an overview. The integration of M-Files enables orderly document filing as well as the editing and versioning of documents. An Outlook integration connects matter work with daily communication.

Another focus is on time recording and billing. Services can be documented via timers, manual entries or mobile applications and used for invoicing. Individual rate models, different invoice recipients and digital approval processes also support demanding billing scenarios. E-billing functions, including for LEDES and ZUGFeRD, as well as a DATEV connection, complement the solution. Automated checks and recurring processes are designed to reduce manual effort and facilitate traceable billing.

For economic management of the law firm, Lean Business also offers analysis and business intelligence solutions. These bring together data from various sources and present key figures in reports, dashboards and interactive graphics. This gives those responsible a sound basis for assessing developments, recognising correlations and making decisions.
