juris is a digital provider of legal and practice-related knowledge in Germany. Founded in 1985, juris GmbH supports legal professionals and other users of the law in finding relevant information, assessing legal developments and preparing well-founded decisions. The offering is aimed, among others, at law firms, corporate legal departments, the judiciary, public administration, as well as tax consultancy and auditing.

At its core is the juris Portal. It links case law, statutes and regulations with commentaries, handbooks, specialist journals and other working aids. Current and historical content makes it possible to research both the applicable legal position and previous legal states. The linking of sources makes it easier to move between a provision, relevant decisions and their expert commentary.

A key component of the offering is the jurisAllianz. This cross-publisher network pools specialist information from renowned publishers and makes it accessible via a shared research environment. Subject-specific products combine this literature with juris’s primary sources. This allows users to tailor their information offering to the requirements of their daily work.

With the juris AI Suite, the company complements research with AI-supported analysis and text editing. It helps users to ask legal questions in natural language, to access relevant content and to summarise extensive documents in a structured manner. Building on this, drafts for pleadings, opinions and other legal texts can be prepared.

The AI Suite processes the specialist content contained in the respective product and available for AI use. Source references make it possible to verify answers and place them in their professional context. When evaluating documents, key statements are matched to the corresponding passages of text. A personal PromptManager helps to save recurring work instructions and reuse them.

Monitoring legal developments is also part of the offering. Depending on the product, new decisions and changes to regulations can be tracked. For in-house counsel, juris also offers the possibility of following legislative procedures from draft to promulgation.
