About Lexroom
Lexroom develops an AI platform for legal work in law firms and legal departments. The company combines legal research, document analysis and legal drafting in a shared working environment. The aim is to simplify time-intensive work steps and give lawyers more room for professional assessment, strategic decisions and personal advice.
One focus is on source-based legal research. Users formulate their questions in natural language and can include supplementary documents relating to the matter at hand. Lexroom prepares the results as structured answers and links them to original sources that can be opened, checked and cited. Follow-up questions make it possible to explore individual aspects in more depth. The saved research history makes it easier to continue work at a later stage.
Document analysis helps to systematically process extensive files and various types of documents. Contracts, expert opinions, PDFs, e-mails, photos and voice recordings can be evaluated together. Users ask questions across multiple documents, have content summarised and identify relevant passages or clauses. The professional assessment of the results remains with the legal users.
For organising documents, Lexroom offers a central document library. Content can be sorted by client, file or case. Connections to services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint and ACTAPORT make it easier to import existing documents. This allows information from various storage locations to be brought together in one working environment and used for further processing.
Another component is the creation of legal draft texts. Documents can be built from scratch or prepared on the basis of the user’s own or provided templates. An add-in for Microsoft Word makes it possible to work directly within the familiar word processing programme. In this way, Lexroom combines research and analysis with the subsequent drafting and revision of documents.
When it comes to handling confidential information, Lexroom states that it relies on European servers, ISO 27001 certification and refrains from using submitted documents and data for training purposes. Single sign-on supports integration into existing corporate access systems.
With this approach, Lexroom positions itself as a legal AI assistant that combines several steps of daily case work. The focus is on traceable sources, more easily accessible knowledge and efficient processing.
