NENNA.AI – Using AI while Protecting Sensitive Data
NENNA.AI develops a platform for the controlled use of artificial intelligence in companies, law firms and organisations. Founded in Berlin in 2023, the company combines access to different AI models with functions for data protection, collaboration and automation. The aim is to make generative AI usable in day-to-day work while specifically controlling the handling of confidential information.
At the core is the automatic masking of sensitive data. Personal details, client information and confidential company data are identified in inputs and documents and replaced with placeholders before being passed to an AI model. After processing, the original details can be reinserted into the response. This approach is intended to allow teams to work with relevant content while limiting its disclosure to external models.
With NENNA Chat, the company provides a shared interface for various AI models. Teams can use it to create texts, analyse documents, summarise content and incorporate their own corporate knowledge. The choice of model can be adapted to the task at hand. Files can be organised in a library and reused for further queries.
For law firms and legal departments, NENNA Legal offers a specialised working environment. It supports research, review and drafting and aligns its data protection approach with sensitive client and case information. This includes real-time masking of details in prompts and documents as well as access to models hosted in the EU. The solution thus specifically addresses the confidentiality requirements of legal teams and the need for controlled AI use.
NENNA Watch complements the offering as a browser extension. It is designed to mask sensitive information even when using external AI applications. This gives companies an additional way to manage the use of AI tools outside a central chat interface and to reduce risks from uncontrolled use.
Collaboration features make it possible to share chats and prompts in a targeted way at individual, team or department level. Permissions govern who may read or edit content. Tasks can be generated from chat results, assigned to team members and tracked further. Automated workflows support recurring activities such as document analysis and regular summaries.
NENNA.AI thus combines model access, data protection and shared workflows within a single platform. The focus is on AI use that supports productive work and gives companies greater control over sensitive information and its processing.
