Septeo (formerly stp.one) – Software and AI for Legal Practice

STP.one has been part of the Septeo Group since 2026 and now operates under the Septeo brand. The company develops software solutions and data services for law firms, insolvency administrators, legal departments and major creditors. Drawing on more than three decades of Legal Tech experience, it helps legal professionals structure information, digitise workflows and automate recurring tasks.

For law firm management, the portfolio includes Lexolution, Winmacs and Advoware, among others. The solutions cater to different firm sizes and ways of working – from smaller practices to commercial law firms. They support the organisation of matters and documents as well as administrative processes such as time recording and billing. The Documents document management system rounds off the offering with structured management of legal files.

One area of focus is digital insolvency administration. Winsolvenz supports the handling of insolvency proceedings, while InsO-Up facilitates communication and workflows in consumer insolvency proceedings. The creditor information system GIS enables the digital provision of proceedings-related information. For companies with extensive claims portfolios, the Creditor Hub offers a central solution for organising and processing claim filings.

With Knowliah, Septeo provides a cloud-based platform for corporate legal departments. It brings together contracts, legal matters, documents, claims and risks within a shared working environment. Automated templates, clause libraries and approval processes support contract management. Search functions make existing knowledge accessible; analyses provide transparency over matters, deadlines and developments.

Under the Legal Twin product family, Septeo extends its solutions with AI-supported functions. These include applications for contract analysis, case law research and the processing of case information. Contract Insights supports contract review by structuring potential risks and linking them to suggested amendments and relevant case law. Specialised add-ons also bring AI functions into existing law firm and insolvency software.

Supplementary company and insolvency data from the Smart Data division support information gathering. A marketplace, training courses, webinars and support services accompany the use of the solutions in everyday work.
