Profile

About the speaker

Henrik Volkmann combines legal training with entrepreneurship and the sale of Legal Tech. As Director Revenue DACH at Libra by Wolters Kluwer, he is responsible for the market entry and growth of the AI workspace for lawyers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He built the sales organisation in the region from the ground up and leads a team of Enterprise and Mid-Market Account Executives as well as Key Account Management. He works with law firms of all sizes and with corporate legal departments.

His legal career took him through two of the most renowned commercial law firms. After studying law in Münster and completing his legal traineeship (Referendariat) in Hamburg, he worked as a research assistant and trainee lawyer at Noerr and Hogan Lovells. There, he gained first-hand insight into the working methods of large law firms and the requirements for quality, confidentiality and efficiency in client work.

He championed the digitalisation of the legal market early on. In 2018, he co-founded recode.law, an initiative that familiarises young lawyers with Legal Tech and new ways of working.

Today, Henrik focuses mainly on the transformation of the legal industry through AI. Through daily exchange with law firms and legal departments currently undergoing AI-driven transformation, he is very close to the question of where legal AI creates real value: from high-quality legal data and specialist content, through integrations with existing law firm software, to adoption within teams. Henrik lives in Berlin.
