About the speaker

Lawyer Micha Friedmann is one of the pioneers of Legal Tech and Legal AI in Germany. For more than 25 years, he has focused on the question of how digital technologies can improve access to the law, make legal work processes more efficient and enable new business models in the legal sector. As a serial founder, entrepreneur and expert in Artificial Intelligence, he combines legal expertise with technological innovation.

As early as 2000, he founded 123recht.de, one of the first digital platforms for legal advice in Germany. This was followed in 2004 by frag-einen-anwalt.de, which made legal advice over the internet accessible to a broad audience. With these platforms, Friedmann was one of the early shapers of a legal market in which digital offerings complemented and changed the traditional routes to legal advice.

He also recognised the potential of Artificial Intelligence for legal practice at an early stage. Since 2017, he and his team have been developing AI-based solutions that combine legal expertise, intelligent information processing and automated workflows. This led to the creation of PRIME LEGAL AI, a specialised Legal AI workspace for law firms, legal departments and other legal organisations. The focus is on processing complex legal matters within the full context of a case file. The aim is to relieve lawyers of time-consuming routine tasks and give them more scope for the demanding aspects of their work.

Today, Micha Friedmann is Founder and Managing Director of PRIME LEGAL AI as well as a board member and Chief Legal Innovation Officer (CLIO) of anwalt.de services AG. Since the merger of PRIME LEGAL AI and anwalt.de in 2025, he has been working to more closely interlink digital client acquisition with AI-supported legal case handling. His vision is a legal market fully supported by digital technology, in which Artificial Intelligence not only accelerates individual tasks but transforms the way legal services are delivered.

Alongside his entrepreneurial work, Friedmann is committed to knowledge transfer between academia, technology and legal practice. Since 2018, he has taught AI and law at Leibniz Universität Hannover and the University of Vienna. As a speaker and discussion partner at legal industry events, he focuses in particular on the practical application of Legal AI, the intelligent processing of extensive case files, the transformation of law firms’ business models and the impact of new technologies on the legal market.

He also contributes his perspectives to industry publications, interviews and sector discussions. His publications include articles on the digitalisation of legal services, online marketing for lawyers and the use of Artificial Intelligence in legal practice. In addition, at the invitation of the then Federal Minister of Justice Dr. Marco Buschmann, he took part in the Legal Tech Roundtable, where the opportunities and challenges of digitalising the judiciary and legal advice were discussed.

Micha Friedmann stands for an entrepreneurial approach that consistently measures technological innovation against its practical benefit. His conviction: the future of legal work does not lie in merely digitalising existing processes, but in fundamentally rethinking them with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
