Prof. Niko Härting

Prof. Niko Härting studied at the Freie Universität Berlin; in 1996 he founded HÄRTING Rechtsanwälte. He is a board member, diversity officer and, among other roles, a member of the Information Law Committee of the Deutscher Anwaltverein, a regular contributor to IT-Rechtsberater and Kommunikation & Recht, a member of the editorial board of Computer und Recht, and editor of the journal PinG – Privacy in Germany. Since 2012, he has been an honorary professor at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht, where he has been a lecturer since 1991. He is the author of numerous publications (including Internetrecht, 8th edition 2025, and Datenschutz-Grundverordnung, 1st edition 2016).
